FREE MS CDL General Knowledge Exam Simulator 2019
The gateway to your Mississippi Commercial Driver’s License is a 50 question, multiple-choice exam called the General Knowledge test. The test has to be taken in one hour and you must have at least an 80% (that’s 40 correct) to pass. If you do not pass, you cannot retake the test until the next day. That means another weekday where you have the time to wait at the DPS. In order to avoid that situation, make sure that you are completely ready to go. The questions are more than common sense and require that you study the official Mississippi Commercial Driver’s License Manual. In addition, we recommend taking our free CDL General Knowledge practice tests. Until you see how the questions are arranged on a test you won’t be ready to really experience the exam. Our tests include useful hints as well as question tracking to see which questions you are having trouble navigating. When you are confident you are ready to go, you’ll see success on the test. However, you also don’t want to be sent home because you didn’t bring required paperwork. In order to even see the test you need to have a Medical Examiner’s Certificate to prove that you are physically qualified to drive a commercial vehicle. You’ll need to visit a licensed medical examiner listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry to obtain one. Then they also expect you to have a valid driver’s license and proof of permanent residency or citizenship. Once you have all that together and are confident in your test answers, you will be ready to get your CDL on your first visit to the Mississippi DPS.
